The Importance of Vitamins and Minerals for Weight Loss

 

The vitamins and minerals have great importance in our daily diet. They are one of the main key nutrients in the balanced diet. They are responsible for our great health, make our skin and hair healthy and beautiful, and also boost up the metabolism which in turn helps to weight loss. The person who has high metabolic rate loses weight fast than that person whose metabolic rate is less. Not all vitamins and minerals are responsible for boosting up the metabolism, one has to get complete information before taking them. They should be taken with great care and in accordance with the dosage one can take in a day.

The water soluble vitamins such as Vitamin B and Vitamin C can be taken how much a person wants. They are not harmful even taken in large quantities. Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin. It is very important for good immune system. Also, it converts sugar to energy and boosts up the metabolism. If a person’s body has low amount of Vitamin D, then it starts to convert the sugar into fat so that it can be used as energy source. Researches have shown that obese people has lower level of this vitamin in their bodies. Hence, vitamin D is great source to increase the metabolic rate. The vitamin D is so easy to get; The sun is the best vitamin D source. Other sources include; tuna, egg yolk, cod liver oil and fortified cereals. It also helps to absorb calcium in the blood and calcium is also responsible for increasing the metabolic rate.

 

Omega-3 fatty acids:

Omega-3 fatty acids are richly found in fish oil. They help in weight loss, heart health and also balances cholesterol. They are helpful in decreasing the appetite and removing fat from our body. The Omega-3 burns the fat by helping to start the sequences in cells. These sequences then attack on the fats present in the body. Omega-3 fatty acid can be found in fish liver oil, walnuts, chia seeds, and Salmon.

 

 

Calcium:

Calcium and Vitamin D both works in accordance to lose the weight. The calcium that is present in our body helps to shed the fat. The amount of shedding of fat is proportional to the amount of calcium present in the cell. Calcium is richly present in Milk, other sources include soya beans, cheese and other dairy products.
